the safety is "off" because Glocks do not have an external safety, as it was deemed a danger to the user to have one. (what with the chance of being unable to fire or delaying fire because of a safety) it has three internal safeties that prevent it from being fired unless the trigger is pulled. Most officers that I know (no offense to them, they are just doing a job) do not practice with their firearms more than once or twice a year and are fairly relaxed around them, and are therefore, more prone to accidents. as well, while he checked to see weather it was loaded, he cycled the action, which will put a round in the chamber if there is one in the magazine, if there is not one in the magazine, then the slide will lock back.

Have any of you considered the fact that it is an act. i'm gonna have to repeat myself because you don't seem to have grasped it. evidence stating he's put it on: 1. why would he take a loaded gun to a gun safety seminar? 2. if you just shot yourself in the leg i think you might bleed quite a lot as there are big arteries in the leg. 3. why doesn't he or one of his friends shit themselves when it goes off? surely if sum1 shot themself u would be a little shocked. it's put on so the students will think if a pro shoots himself, they're more likely to.
